Windows 7 Beta Released

This past weekend Microsoft released the public beta for the next version of Windows.  I was able to get it downloaded and have had Windows 7 installed on my laptop for about four days so far.  It looks a lot like Vista but there are some big changes in Windows 7.  Below is a screen shot of what the desktop looks like.

 

I will take the next several weeks to explore the changes in Windows 7.  So far Windows 7 seems to run really well and I haven’t had any problems with it yet but it has only been a few day.  Only time will tell.  I will post my thoughts here in my blog as I explore Windows 7.

We are excited and proud to announce that C.T.S. CompuPro, Inc. is launching a company blog. This blog will be used to keep the readers up-to- date on technology trends, security issues and many more helpful topics. The focus of this blog is to give readers more of a technical insight of the technologies they use to run their business and will include:

· Explanation of all of the updates that Microsoft and other companies release for their products and why they are important to install

· Information on the new versions of the software that these companies release and why it might be beneficial to upgrade

· Keep readers informed of any new malware threats that are released and which of these are hoaxes

· Touch on some personal tech items like new cell phones that are released and tech items that can be used in the home

We are hoping to post to the blog at least three times a month or any time there are important updates and information that needs to be shared.
